Commercial Manager – Specialty Chemicals (Oman)

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the full commercial engine of a new specialty chemicals manufacturing plant in Oman. This senior position offers high ownership to build and optimise procurement, logistics and vendor ecosystems from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end plant commercial operations, including procurement, sourcing and cost control.
• Manage logistics, dispatch, transportation and warehousing functions.
• Handle EXIM activities, customs clearance and GCC statutory/regulatory compliance.
• Direct inventory and stores management using SAP‑driven processes.
• Lead contract management, vendor negotiations and long‑term supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with operations, finance and corporate functions within a matrix structure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 18–22 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chains, with senior (GM) level exposure.
• Hands‑on experience in GCC, especially Oman, covering customs and import‑export procedures.
• Strong command of procurement, logistics, EXIM and contract management.
• Proven ability to set up commercial systems and processes in a greenfield or expansion environment.
