Cyber Security Site Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Site Engineer to join a leading organization in Oman. The role focuses on implementing and validating OT cybersecurity controls for power utilities, oil & gas, and other critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and validate OT cybersecurity controls across grid stations, substations, and industrial sites.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities.
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and asset discovery.
• Manage cybersecurity documentation, compliance evidence, and reporting.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure secure project handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in OT/Industrial Control Systems/SCADA cybersecurity.
• Minimum 3 years of site‑based experience in grid stations, substations, power utilities, oil & gas, or critical infrastructure.
• Open to all nationalities; candidates must be eligible for an Oman employment visa.

Required skills

• OT architectures: SCADA, DCS, Substation Automation, IEC 61850.
• Network segmentation, zones & conduits.
• Electronic Security Perimeter (ESP).
• Firewalls, Active Directory, endpoint protection.
• Vulnerability assessment and remediation.
• Asset discovery and monitoring (experience with Nozomi preferred).
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 and NERC CIP concepts.
• FAT & SAT execution, vendor coordination, documentation, compliance, and cybersecurity testing.
