Data & ETL Developer – Banking Domain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data & ETL Developer to join a large banking project in Muscat. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise data warehouse solutions and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and optimise star‑schema and snowflake‑schema data models.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from databases, APIs, ERP, CRM and flat files.
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, validation and implement incremental loads and change‑data‑capture processes.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, optimise performance and ensure data quality, governance, metadata and lineage.
• Support production deployments, releases, migrations, backup and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to gather reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 4.8 – 8 years of relevant experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
• Immediate availability or notice period up to 15 days.
• Willingness to relocate to Muscat.
• Experience in the banking or BFSI domain is preferred.

• Strong SQL development skills.
• Data warehouse concepts and dimensional modelling (star & snowflake).
• ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• Data quality, data governance and performance tuning.
• Database design.
• Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
