Data Governance & Reporting Specialist

About the role

The Data Governance & Reporting Specialist ensures that the organisation’s data is high‑quality, governed and readily actionable. Working across data, IT and business teams, you will support regulatory compliance, build trusted data products and deliver insightful dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the data governance framework, policies and standards, ensuring compliance with PDPL, DOH and CBUAE regulations.
• Document governance artefacts, data standards and act as liaison between data, IT and business stakeholders.
• Develop, monitor and enforce data quality rules, track issues and drive remediation actions.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for claims, underwriting and operations, enabling self‑service analytics.
• Build governed data products such as Customer 360 and claims dashboards to support fraud detection and operational monitoring.
• Document data lineage, validate ETL processes and perform data reconciliations.
• Collaborate with business units to define KPIs, data requirements and promote data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality or reporting, preferably within insurance or financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
