Estimation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Estimation Engineer to join our tendering and estimation team. The role involves reviewing tender documents, analysing project requirements and producing accurate quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for infrastructure and road construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for infrastructure and road projects.
• Convert tender requirements into clear, measurable and priceable BOQ items.
• Analyse project scope, identify risks and opportunities, and support bid strategy development.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and tendering teams during bid preparation.
• Prepare technical and commercial cost breakdowns for management review.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, local regulations and company procedures.
• Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives during the tender stage.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE construction, preferably on infrastructure and road projects.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation and tender preparation.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, rates and market conditions.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with estimation software.
