NOC Agent – 24/7 Network Operations Center Operator

About the role

The NOC Agent is responsible for 24/7 monitoring and first‑line operational control of network, data‑center and critical IT services. You will proactively identify faults, execute standard operating procedures, and coordinate restoration activities to meet defined SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor data‑centre environment (power, cooling, security, access control, intrusion detection).
• Watch servers, network devices, storage and cloud services using NMS, SIEM and APM tools; acknowledge, correlate and prioritize alerts.
• Log incidents, perform L1 triage, apply remediation, and record full details in the ITSM system.
• Escalate issues according to the defined matrix, initiate bridge calls and communicate with stakeholders until service is restored.
• Maintain accurate records of network status, topology maps, inventory of consumables and user access (AD/e‑mail accounts).
• Execute routine preventive checks, patch and hot‑fix deployments with rollback plans.
• Prepare operation job sheets, supervise backup processes and ensure scheduled data transfers are performed.
• Support user departments with server connectivity and application access issues and manage shift rosters.

Required profile

• Experience working in a Network Operations Center or similar 24/7 environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs, document incidents precisely and adhere to SLA targets.
• Strong communication skills for escalation and stakeholder coordination.
