Plant Accountant

About the role

The Plant Accountant will support Kerry's Operations finance function at the Sohar manufacturing plant, delivering timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders. Based in Falaj Al Qabail, Industrial Area, the role involves daily finance activities and close collaboration with the Regional Finance Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, including plant commentary, cost reports, KPI reporting, inventory and labor cost analysis.
• Analyse inventory variances, manage write‑offs, and participate in physical inventory counts at the plant and external warehouses.
• Tag fixed assets, conduct annual asset counts, and handle asset disposals.
• Maintain purchase‑to‑pay controls, review open purchase orders and ensure timely closure of the material ledger.
• Partner with Supply Chain to review material costs and support product/process costing activities.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related numerical discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate financial information to non‑financial managers.
