SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator II

About the role

The SCADA/SAC/BPI Operator II is responsible for monitoring and controlling the airport baggage handling system (BHS) through SCADA interfaces. The role ensures continuous baggage flow, rapid response to alarms, and accurate reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor BHS operations via SCADA, identifying and addressing abnormalities in real time.
• Adjust system configurations, routing logic, and conveyor settings to maintain optimal flow and avoid congestion.
• Record all alarms, faults, and events in the SCADA logbook and prepare daily operational reports.
• Escalate critical issues to shift leaders, coordinate with maintenance crews, and communicate via TETRA and radio channels.
• Execute start‑up checklists, validate system performance after restarts, and manage fallback procedures when required.
• Prioritize handling for critical flights and rush bags while ensuring no unauthorized changes are made.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Instrumentation, IT or a related field.
• Experience with industrial systems, automation, or BHS operations is preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to diagnose system faults quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic airport environment.

Required skills

• SCADA system operation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling processes.
• Proficiency with computer reporting tools and technical drawing interpretation.
• Familiarity with TETRA public communication channels.
• Understanding of system balancing, routing logic, and fallback procedures.
