Senior Audit Professional – FY'24

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Senior Audit professional to lead audit engagements for medium and small clients and act as a semi‑senior on larger accounts for FY'24 in Oman. You will mentor junior staff, manage audit planning, and ensure high‑quality delivery of financial statements and related reports.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for audit engagements, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Mentor and supervise assistants, associates, and trainees, providing orientation and guidance.
• Prepare and review audit reports, annual financial statements, management letters, and key feature memoranda.
• Conduct analytical reviews, consolidations, and targeted testing of high‑risk areas such as accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and investments.
• Maintain client relations, attend stock counts, and perform statutory and internal control testing.
• Ensure all review notes are cleared, documentation is updated, and audit files are properly archived.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• Completed at least 9 ACCA papers, or 2 CPA papers, or ICAEW Professional Stage.
• 2‑3+ years of post‑graduate audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and computer literacy.
• Excellent analytical abilities and customer focus.
• Good written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
