Senior Network Security Engineer

About the role

KalSoft is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join its on‑site team in Oman. The successful candidate will design, implement, secure and maintain highly available enterprise network environments for the Tax Authority and its business units, ensuring performance, continuity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day network operations, including LAN and WAN design, deployment and documentation.
• Configure, monitor and maintain routing, switching, ISP connectivity and related network equipment.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and 24×7 on‑call support for outages and maintenance.
• Supervise vendors and contractors, enforce SLA compliance and manage procurement of network hardware and software.
• Apply security patches, monitor malware protection systems and stay aware of emerging threats.
• Maintain accurate inventories of network assets, software licences and support contracts.
• Develop and enforce change‑management procedures and assess business impact of new deployments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure service‑level expectations are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Omani national with at least 5 years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure and security.
• Proven experience in designing, operating and documenting LAN/WAN environments.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, ISP connectivity and network‑operations best practices.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time and provide 24×7 on‑call support when required.
