Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join its Projects team in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on delivering FEED and detailed design scopes for on‑shore oil and gas projects, translating concept reports into full process designs and specifications while supervising a team of process engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Process Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) catalogue for projects.
• Supervise a team of process engineers and ensure deliverables meet DCAF requirements.
• Develop and review Basis for Design, Project Specifications and Design Philosophies.
• Carry out and review process simulation models, flare and blow‑down simulations, and heat & material balance tables.
• Develop and review process/utility flow schemes, control narratives, and safeguarding flow schemes.
• Size process equipment and relief valves, perform line hydraulics calculations and provide inputs to line listings.
• Produce safeguarding memoranda and conduct process engineering studies.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, IPF classifications, 3D model reviews and plot plan assessments.
• Implement and monitor the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001‑2015 and API Q2 2nd edition.

Required profile

• Proven experience in on‑shore oil and gas process engineering.
• Ability to lead and supervise a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Familiarity with DCAF deliverable requirements and industry standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001‑2015 and API Q2 quality standards.
