Drilling Supervisor

About the role

The Drilling Supervisor will lead daily offshore drilling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with approved programs and industry standards. This role provides on‑site leadership for contractors, service companies, and third‑party personnel while driving performance and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily drilling activities, ensuring adherence to HSSE policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operations, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to minimise non‑productive time.
• Manage mobilisation of personnel, materials, equipment and services to maintain uninterrupted drilling.
• Verify readiness and maintenance of drilling equipment, tools and backup gear.
• Prepare and review material requisitions, loadout plans, inventory records and end‑of‑well material reconciliation.
• Review and approve operational documentation such as daily drilling reports, service tickets, casing and cementing reports, and BHA records.
• Track wellsite costs, maintain expenditure records and identify efficiency improvements.
• Participate in incident investigations, equipment failure analyses and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Drilling Supervisor in deepwater offshore operations.
• Valid OPITO BOSIET and IWCF Level 4 certifications.
• Strong knowledge of well construction, drilling operations, well control and offshore HSE management systems.
