About the role
The Rig Mechanic supports the Chief Mechanic in performing preventive maintenance on rig and camp mechanical equipment. The role also involves standing in for the Mechanic when absent and participating in fire team duties as required.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Mechanic/Mechanic with regular rig mechanical preventive maintenance.
- Support rig and camp mechanical maintenance requirements.
- Monitor proper functioning of rig and camp mechanical equipment.
- Execute duties assigned by the Tool Pusher or Night Tool Pusher.
- Stand in for the Mechanic during their absence.
- Participate as a Rig/Camp Fire Team member when instructed.
Required profile
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in the field.
