Shift Technician

About the role

As a Shift Technician at Six Senses Zighy Bay you will support the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, wellness and exceptional guest experience by maintaining the property’s facilities and responding quickly to maintenance requests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and preventive maintenance of structural metal fixtures and other hotel assets.
• Perform painting and surface‑treatment tasks, including spray painting, varnish and stain application, especially when the dedicated painter is unavailable.
• Assist engineering and landscape teams with general handiwork around the property.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and work requests concerning rooms and public areas.
• Handle emergency situations such as fire alarms or power failures.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and use personal protective equipment at all times.
• Uphold Six Senses service standards, LQA criteria and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a maintenance role within a luxury hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a remote location for extended periods.

Required skills

• Paint application and removal techniques, including spray painting, varnish and stain.
• Basic mechanical maintenance and repair skills.
• Preventive maintenance planning for structural metal fixtures.
• Use of personal safety equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
