VAPT Consultant – Security & Privacy

About the role

We are seeking a VAPT Consultant to join Protiviti’s Security & Privacy team in Oman. The consultant will lead and support vulnerability assessment and penetration testing engagements for clients across the Middle East, helping to protect and improve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of their information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Innovate within the Vulnerability and Penetration Testing (VAPT) program, improving processes and technologies.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Attack & Pen function.
• Conduct authorized attack surface reviews, penetration tests and red‑team assessments on client environments.
• Produce clear assessment reports with practical recommendations based on risk management principles.
• Update standards and procedures to continuously enhance security posture.
• Evaluate policies, standards and procedures against security best practices.
• Contribute to security knowledge repositories and business development activities.
• Mentor junior team members and provide consultation to peer groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2‑6 years of professional experience in information security, focusing on technical assessments.
• Strong knowledge of penetration testing concepts and best practices.
