Accountant – Finance & Cash Flow Specialist

About the role

WAJDA International Technology Services LLC is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance Department in Muscat. The role focuses on accurate financial recording, cash flow management, and supporting budgeting and financial planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Perform bank reconciliations and keep financial records up to date.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including aging analysis and collection follow‑ups.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with payroll accounting and month‑end / year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations, company policies and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Record transactions using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, financial planning and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) required.
• Experience in Telecom, Contracting, Engineering or Trading & Sales sectors is preferred.
• Proven expertise in cash flow management, budgeting and financial forecasting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Odoo ERP (or similar ERP systems).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT regulations.
