Advanced Nondestructive Testing Level III

About the role

Muthulakshmi Certification Pvt Ltd offers training for API and ASNT certifications, and is recruiting for a full-time, on-site Advanced Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level III position in Oman. The holder leads and oversees advanced NDT activities, including the development, qualification and approval of NDT procedures in line with relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Level I and Level II NDT personnel
• Review and interpret test results, and ensure inspection work meets regulatory, client and company requirements
• Coordinate testing schedules and optimise inspection methods
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for identified defects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality assurance processes and give technical guidance to training and certification efforts
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance

Required profile

• Advanced NDT Level III certification (e.g. ASNT or equivalent) in methods such as UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, required or strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or related heavy industry inspection environments
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, materials science or a related technical discipline preferred
• Proven ability to lead, train and mentor NDT personnel, with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex NDT data and standards
• Solid testing and software testing skills relevant to advanced NDT methods and digital inspection tools
• Experience designing and reviewing test cases and inspection procedures for various NDT techniques
• Clear communication skills for reporting results, coordinating with teams and interacting with clients
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards such as API, ASME and ISO and their practical application in field inspections
