Aircraft Painter F-16

About the role

The Aircraft Painter F-16 will report to the Program Manager and handle all surface preparation, treatment and painting for the F-16 fleet at Thumrait, Oman. The position is pending contract award and funding.

Key responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation, treatment and painting of aircraft components, panels and support equipment.
• Apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin and vinyl graphics using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices.
• Mask and cover areas not to be painted and ensure compliance with military publications and diagrams.
• Complete required documentation, including FMS-2026 Form 2, Type 1 and maintenance records.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience as a paint technician with F-16 paint procedures.
• High school diploma or GED; ability to lead, train and mentor other technicians.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain facility credentials.

Required skills

• Surface preparation and painting techniques.
• Use of spray guns, rollers, brushes and vinyl application.
• Knowledge of USAF military publications, Technical Orders and FMS-2026 Form 2.
• Glass surface refinishing for F-16 aircraft.
