Audit & Assurance Manager – Deloitte Muscat

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join its Muscat office. You will lead audit engagements, ensure high‑quality delivery, and build trust with multiple stakeholders while supporting the firm’s purpose of making an impact that matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional skepticism.
• Identify opportunities to add value and integrate specialist expertise across the firm.
• Participate in group risk‑assessment scoping and prepare clear referral instructions for component auditors.
• Run regular file checks, maintain appropriate file structures, and ensure all audit points are cleared.
• Engage early with the extended engagement team, communicate expectations, responsibilities, and deadlines.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing audit documentation and assessing control environments.
• Capability to provide constructive challenge and apply professional skepticism.
• Proven track record of recognizing value‑adding opportunities within audit engagements.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with component auditors and internal teams.
