CCR Operator

About the role

The CCR Operator works in the control room to monitor and control power and water units, ensuring steady‑state operation and meeting production targets while adhering to ACWA NMES work instructions, quality, and HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned unit/plant from the control panel following defined procedures, adjust operating conditions, and take corrective action during abnormalities.
• Maintain continuous radio contact with field operators, communicate operating conditions, and initiate required actions.
• Update control room registers and logs, and ensure proper shift handover.
• Perform initial diagnostics on equipment malfunctions, correct faults when possible, or raise work requests for further repair.
• Coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out during equipment isolation and restore equipment after permit‑to‑work cancellation.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to junior team members.
• Adhere to health, safety, security, and environmental procedures and report any deviations.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Required skills
