About the role
Six Senses Zighy Bay is seeking a Chef De Cuisine to lead the Arabic restaurant, delivering innovative, sustainable culinary experiences that align with the brand’s wellness and emotional hospitality values.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef and manage day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
- Continuously refresh menus and wine lists to stay relevant with Six Senses’ culinary philosophy.
- Implement purchasing practices that meet nutrition and sustainability standards.
- Drive cost‑focused training and education for the team.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, financial, and brand standards, including LQA requirements.
- Maintain high guest satisfaction by adhering to service and quality benchmarks.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a full‑service kitchen or comparable luxury hotel setting.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to live in a remote location for extended periods and travel independently.
Required skills
- Operation of broiler equipment.
- Expertise in meat and fish cookery.
- Advanced knife skills.
- Understanding of farm‑to‑table concepts.
- Alcohol awareness certification.
- Valid food service/health handler permit as required by local authorities.
