Chef de Partie – Luxury Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at InterContinental Muscat as a Chef de Partie, delivering high‑quality dishes in a world‑class luxury hotel environment. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain standards from prep to plate while supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and run an assigned kitchen section efficiently during service.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and brand standards.
• Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs, ensuring quality, discipline, and teamwork.
• Control portion sizes, minimise waste, and ensure proper food preparation.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with requisitions and inventory control.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials.
• Coordinate smoothly with other kitchen sections during service.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong technical knowledge in the assigned section (hot, cold, pastry, bakery, or specialty cuisine).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure kitchen.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Culinary qualifications or professional training are an advantage.
