Chief Accountant

About the role

Alnama, a leading real‑estate developer in Oman, is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead its accounting function. The successful candidate will manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support the financial health of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Manage project cost accounting for real‑estate developments.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, Oman VAT and Income Tax regulations.
• Utilise ERP systems and advanced Excel tools for accurate data analysis.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience working in Oman, preferably within real‑estate development.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Oman VAT and Income Tax.
• Proven experience in project cost accounting and external audits.
• Demonstrated supervisory and team‑management abilities.
