Chief Executive Officer – CCGT Power Plant

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will be the public face of a major combined‑cycle gas turbine power plant in Oman, responsible for steering the asset’s strategic direction, operational excellence and financial results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall business strategy, annual planning and budgeting.
• Manage relationships with shareholders, lenders and key stakeholders.
• Oversee safe and efficient operations and maintenance of the plant.
• Ensure regulatory, contractual and environmental compliance.
• Drive performance, cost control and continuous operational improvement.
• Provide strategic guidance and reporting to the Board.

Required profile

• Omani nationality.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in power, energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale power generation or infrastructure assets.
• Strong experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Deep understanding of operational and financial performance management.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, including Board and government interfaces.
• International mindset with ability to operate across cultures and regulatory frameworks.
• Engineering background; MBA considered advantageous.
