Civil QC Inspector – Quality Control (Oman)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Civil QC Inspector to lead quality assurance activities on its road construction projects in Oman. You will promote a quality‑first culture, ensure compliance with civil engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the civil inspection team and coordinate daily inspection tasks in line with project Quality Control Plans.
• Review and contribute to civil QC procedures, checklists, and related documentation.
• Implement and monitor Project QCPs/ITPs for the civil discipline.
• Investigate civil quality issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are executed.
• Issue and expedite non‑conformance reports (NCRs) for civil activities.
• Report progress and feedback to the Site QC Manager and conduct regular quality walk‑downs.
• Ensure the inspection team completes required HSE and quality trainings before site work.
• Share lessons learned and feedback with inspectors and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction, with mandatory experience in tarmac road construction.
• Proven ability to lead inspection teams and manage quality control processes.
