Cold-room and Refrigeration Technician (Junior & Senior)

About the role

Our client in Muscat is seeking both junior and senior technicians to maintain and repair a range of cold‑room and commercial refrigeration equipment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency breakdown response, and ensuring optimal operating temperatures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on walk‑in cold rooms, freezer rooms, blast chillers, refrigerated cabinets, ice machines, compressors and related components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and refrigeration faults, including thermostats, sensors, expansion and solenoid valves, and defrost systems.
• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing and brazing.
• Monitor equipment performance, replace defective parts, and record completed work.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete repairs within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or trade certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Junior: 2–4 years of relevant experience; Senior: 5+ years.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, refrigerant handling and electrical troubleshooting.
• Senior candidates should have team coordination or supervisory experience.
• Preferred background in catering, food production, hospitality, cold‑storage or facilities management.
