Content Director

About the role

The Content Director will shape and execute an integrated content strategy across print, digital, video, radio and social platforms. This senior leader will ensure high‑quality, timely and commercially sustainable English‑ and Arabic‑language content while strengthening brand identity and audience growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee an integrated content strategy, set priorities, standards, budgets and resource plans.
• Lead editorial, video, radio and digital teams, ensuring collaboration while preserving each brand’s distinct voice.
• Supervise print and digital editorial processes, manage approvals, corrections, complaints and editorial risk.
• Define video strategy, manage production schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Oversee radio programming, aligning news, interviews and audience‑focused shows with digital and social content.
• Drive publishing on websites and social platforms, using audience data to improve reach and manage misinformation.
• Manage workflows, budgets, staffing, training and performance; support sponsorship and branded content while protecting editorial independence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of media experience, including at least 5 years in a senior editorial or content leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across editorial, digital, video, broadcast or social media.
• Strong understanding of the Omani and regional media landscape.
• Excellent editorial judgment, leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience handling budgets, production workflows, audience analytics and digital growth.
• Fluent English; Arabic proficiency highly desirable.
