Director of Sales & Distribution

About the role

The Director of Sales & Distribution leads all day‑to‑day sales activities for a hospitality property in Nizwa, Oman. The role focuses on building long‑term, value‑based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives and supports the overall revenue strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and monitor sales strategies in alignment with the segment’s revenue goals.
• Lead the sales team, set personal booking targets and recommend booking goals for direct reports.
• Approve space releases for catering, participate in sales calls, and oversee proposal generation, contract writing and customer correspondence.
• Analyze market and financial data, support revenue management with accurate forecasts, and report on sales and catering performance.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, gathering feedback, and empowering staff to maintain high service standards.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 3 years of sales/marketing experience in the Oman or GCC leisure market, preferably with Marriott or resort experience; OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead sales teams, set targets and drive revenue growth.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and financial projections.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
