Director of Sales (Leisure)

About the role

The Leisure Director of Sales will support the Director of Sales & Marketing in driving revenue for the hotel’s leisure segment, primarily targeting European tour operators and luxury market agents. This senior position is based in Muscat and involves both strategic planning and hands‑on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Sales in managing the sales team, especially during absences.
• Manage key accounts within assigned geographic markets, focusing on revenue maximization and market share growth.
• Prospect and acquire new accounts, conduct site inspections, and follow up on tentative bookings.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring optimal yielding during rate negotiations.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales blitzes, workshops, and client events.
• Contribute to the annual sales action plan and budget forecasts.
• Document all sales activities in the SFA system and keep the OPERA contact database up‑to‑date.
• Cross‑sell other Kempinski properties and participate in the duty‑manager rota.
• Adhere to corporate SOPs, health & safety regulations, and the employee handbook.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar sales role within a high‑end luxury resort or hotel.
• 2‑3 years of experience working with tour operators in the European market.
• Strong knowledge of the European leisure market, especially Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the UK, and France.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
