Drilling Downhole Product Engineer

About the role

The Drilling Downhole Product Engineer supports the Product Service Delivery (PSD) team by designing safe, efficient and reliable drilling solutions for our customers. You will develop optimized technical job designs, identify improvement opportunities and provide real‑time technical support throughout service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical job designs for assigned business lines, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and safety.
• Identify and communicate continuous‑improvement opportunities, capturing lessons learned.
• Provide real‑time support to PSD operations and manage resource consumption (COSD).
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to optimise designs and respond to design changes during execution.
• Assist in incident response, recovery and investigation, and analyse execution versus design to drive best practices.
• Support sales and commercial teams in evaluating technical viability of tenders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geoscience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling product engineering or a similar role.
• Strong technical competency with downhole products such as bits, jars, reamers, stabilizers, etc.
• Proven expertise in Bottom‑Hole Assembly (BHA) design.
