Head of Sourcing – China & Global Markets

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities for machinery, equipment, structural components and related products across China and other global markets. The role focuses on identifying reliable international suppliers, negotiating competitive commercial terms, ensuring quality, and managing end‑to‑end sourcing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers in China and worldwide.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and delivery schedules with international suppliers.
• Manage the full sourcing cycle from supplier identification and purchase orders to final delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, operations, finance and quality teams to ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality and commercial terms, and report to senior management.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through negotiations, alternate vendors and process improvements.
• Mitigate risks related to international sourcing, logistics, quality and supply disruptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain management, including at least 3–5 years sourcing machinery, equipment or structural components from China and other markets.
• Strong knowledge of the Chinese supplier and manufacturing ecosystem and understanding of international logistics, import processes and customs procedures.
• Excellent English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, international environment and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
