Engineer - Aircraft Structures

About the role

The Engineer – Aircraft Structures is responsible for managing the continuing airworthiness of aircraft structural systems within a CAMO environment. The role ensures structural integrity, oversees damage assessment, repairs, corrosion control, and fatigue monitoring while complying with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure airworthiness of aircraft structures in line with approved maintenance programs and regulations.
• Monitor compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Structural Inspection Programs, and Aging Aircraft Programs.
• Review and implement structural maintenance requirements from manufacturers and authorities.
• Maintain accurate structural records, repair documentation, and evaluate defects, corrosion, dents, and cracks.
• Develop and review repair solutions using SRM, AMM, and approved engineering orders.
• Coordinate with OEMs and design organisations for repairs beyond SRM limits.
• Support corrosion prevention programs, analyse recurring issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyse fleet structural reliability, identify trends, and support reliability review meetings.
• Provide technical support to line and base maintenance, planning, quality, and safety teams.
• Assist with lease return, delivery, and transition projects from a structural perspective.

Required profile

• Experience in aircraft structural maintenance and continuing airworthiness management.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, ADs, SBs, SIPs and aging aircraft programs.
• Ability to assess structural defects and develop repair solutions in accordance with approved manuals.
