Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our growing online marketplace and e‑commerce business. This full‑time position is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company through accurate reporting, tax compliance, and strategic financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management for the marketplace and e‑commerce operations.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit‑card accounts regularly and accurately.
• Prepare financial statements – balance sheet, income statement, and cash‑flow statement – and performance reports.
• Stay current with Omani tax laws and ensure full compliance for all business activities.
• Collaborate with management to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks and Zoho Books to automate processes and maintain efficiency.
• Work with the sales team to ensure timely collection of invoices and other receivables.
• Analyse competitor pricing and industry trends to support pricing strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting for online or e‑commerce businesses.
• Strong understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Knowledge of Omani tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a tax or accounting firm is a plus.
