Finance Director – Asset Management

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the financial function of a rapidly evolving, owner‑backed investment platform in Muscat. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the CIO, you will build an institutional‑grade finance and treasury operation that supports a portfolio of USD 600‑700 million with ambitions to exceed USD 1 billion.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own a comprehensive financial operating system covering accounting, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and management reporting.
• Lead treasury and liquidity management, ensuring visibility over cash, commitments, debt and inter‑company funding.
• Oversee fund, SPV and investment‑structure finance, establishing robust processes for capital allocation and performance monitoring.
• Implement financial controls, governance frameworks and regulatory reporting to meet asset‑management standards.
• Provide concise, decision‑oriented financial analysis to the CEO, Board and Investment Committee.
• Protect shareholder capital through disciplined financial governance and independent challenge of investment decisions.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of senior finance experience, preferably within asset‑management, private‑equity or investment platforms.
• Proven track record of building finance and treasury functions for regulated entities.
• Strong understanding of regulatory capital, liquidity requirements and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior investment professionals while maintaining an independent control perspective.
