Financial Risk Specialist

About the role

The Financial Risk Specialist will identify, measure, monitor and report financial risks that affect the organization. This role supports the development of risk‑management frameworks, ensures regulatory compliance and provides analysis for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and report market, credit, liquidity, interest‑rate and foreign‑exchange risks.
• Develop and maintain financial risk models, methodologies and measurement tools.
• Monitor risk limits, conduct stress‑testing and scenario analysis, and escalate breaches.
• Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for senior management and risk committees.
• Review investment portfolios, treasury activities and financing arrangements from a risk perspective.
• Support the development and periodic review of risk policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Provide risk analysis for budgeting, capital planning and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Investments, Compliance, Internal Audit and business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Mathematics or a related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA or CPA are preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in financial risk management, treasury, banking, investment management, corporate finance or enterprise risk management.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, RCSA and KRIs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and presentation abilities.
