Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor - Residences

About the role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, is looking for a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor for its residences in Muscat, Oman. The position is full time and non-management, and involves inspecting rooms and public areas after cleaning, running room reports and coordinating housekeeping with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the front desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching staff, and follow company safety and security policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification required.

Required skills

• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds alone, lift heavier ones with help, and use a housekeeping cart on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel or walk for long periods and to read small print.
• Use of computers and point-of-sale systems.
