HSE Site Manager

About the role

The HSE Site Manager is responsible for implementing health, safety and environment standards across the project site in Oman. This senior position leads the HSE team, ensures compliance, and collaborates with clients and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for HSE implementation on site, including development of HSE plans, risk assessments and safety certifications.
• Recruit, train, coach and appraise the HSE organization, including casual HSE labor.
• Lead monthly safety meetings, prepare HSE scorecards and drive training targets for project employees.
• Manage client HSE relations, resolve complaints and ensure positive interaction with client HSE teams.
• Investigate incidents, apply disciplinary actions, and oversee budgeting and cost control for HSE activities.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in the HSE field.
• Relevant HSE certifications such as OSHA (General Industry) and other HSE trainings.
• Proven leadership, decision‑making and people‑management skills.
• Ability to develop and implement HSE Management Systems (Permit to Work, Working at Height, Lifting, Excavations, etc.).

Required skills

• OSHA certification (General Industry).
• Experience with HSE Management Systems and risk assessment tools.
• Incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Budget planning and cost control for safety programs.
