Imaging Geophysicist Trainee Internship

About the role

Viridien is looking for an entry‑level Imaging Geophysicist Trainee to join its advanced technology and Earth‑data team. This training internship will give you hands‑on experience in seismic processing and 3D subsurface imaging while supporting real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and understand the basics of the seismic processing workflow.
• Build 3D subsurface images using inversion algorithms, wave equations and signal‑processing techniques.
• Apply geoscience principles to testing, focusing and optimisation under supervision.
• Perform quality‑control checks, report issues and document results.
• Set up, run and monitor processing tasks using various imaging software.
• Attend e‑learning sessions, scheduled classes and client meetings, presenting test outcomes.

Required profile

• Undergraduate BSc in Geosciences.
• Ability to apply broad knowledge of geophysical principles to moderately complex assignments.
• Entry‑to‑intermediate level contributor with good organisational skills.
• Confidence in using specialised software and tools for advanced applications.
