Investment Banker – Energy M&A (Mid‑Level/VP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banker to join the energy desk of a growing regional investment bank. The role focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions across the energy value chain, both locally and cross‑border. It is positioned at a mid‑level/VP or Associate Director level, reporting directly to the desk Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute M&A transactions in the energy sector, including oil & gas, natural resources, chemicals, and mining.
• Perform financial analysis, valuation modelling and due‑diligence coordination.
• Prepare pitch books, client presentations and transaction memoranda.
• Manage cross‑border deal logistics and coordinate with legal, tax and advisory partners.
• Maintain and develop relationships with corporate clients, investors and industry contacts.
• Support business development initiatives for the energy desk.

Required profile

• Strong academic background.
• Relevant experience at a major bank or boutique investment bank/advisory firm.
• Ambitious, hardworking, concise communicator with a commercial mindset.
• Energy‑related transaction experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work on a range of natural‑resource transactions (oil & gas, fertilisers, chemicals, metals & mining).
