Jr./Sr. Cold-room and Refrigeration Technician

About the role

We are seeking both junior and senior technicians to maintain and repair a variety of cold‑room and commercial refrigeration equipment in Muscat. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency breakdown response, and ensuring optimal operating temperatures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on walk‑in cold rooms, freezer rooms, blast chillers, refrigerated cabinets, ice machines, compressors and related components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and refrigeration faults, including thermostats, temperature controllers, sensors, expansion and solenoid valves, and defrost systems.
• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing and brazing, and replace defective components.
• Record completed work, report recurring faults and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or trade certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Junior: 2–4 years of relevant experience; Senior: 5+ years, with supervisory or team‑coordination experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, refrigerant handling and electrical troubleshooting.
• Preferred background in catering, food production, hospitality, cold‑storage or facilities management.

• Electrical troubleshooting of thermostats, controllers, sensors and valves.
• Knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers, defrost systems and control panels.
