Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

Alila Jabal Akhdar is looking for a skilled Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join its Engineering team at the luxury resort. The role involves maintaining, repairing and ensuring the efficient operation of kitchen, laundry and related building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control system faults.
• Service and maintain motors, pumps, valves, fans, conveyors, lighting and other electrical equipment.
• Inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical circuits, switches, sockets and related components.
• Carry out carpentry, masonry, flooring, furniture and upholstery repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Diploma, certification or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance or a related technical field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, kitchen equipment or laundry systems.
• Sound knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and administrative tasks.
