Lead QA/QC Engineer – Musandam, Oman

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead QA/QC Engineer to be seconded to a client in Musandam, Oman for a long‑term assignment. The role will oversee the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the project’s quality management system, ensuring full compliance with OQ specifications, contract requirements and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and update the Project Quality Plan in line with OQ specifications.
• Review and approve Contractor Quality Plans, programs, and related documentation.
• Coordinate owner reviews of contractor and vendor QA/QC documents, inspection and testing procedures.
• Engage and manage Third‑Party Inspection agencies and internal inspectors.
• Monitor and audit EPC contractor quality performance, including non‑conformance and corrective‑action processes.
• Lead pre‑inspection meetings, conduct inspections and testing as required.
• Prepare and present regular QA/QC performance reports and lessons‑learned updates.
• Ensure competent QA/QC resources are available within contractor organizations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA/QC functions on large‑scale engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of OQ, FEED, contract specifications and industry standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, EPC contractors, TPIs and client stakeholders.
• Experience managing audits, corrective actions and quality KPIs.
