Lobby Attendant - Residences

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Muscat is looking for a Lobby Attendant for its Residences team. The role covers all tasks related to the Residences lobby, under the guidance of the Concierge and Director of Residences, and aims to deliver a warm, efficient welcome and departure for residents and guests, with stylish, thoughtful service that reflects the group's oriental heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Work with all departments as a team to satisfy residents and guests, whether in-house or away.
• Maintain grooming standards, keep the uniform clean and presentable, and follow Mandarin Oriental Standard Operating Procedures, including desk-based procedures.
• Keep accurate records of requests and tasks, update informational databases, and prepare daily reports on arrivals, departures, handovers, move-ins, works and deliveries.
• Greet guests, residents and visitors by name when possible, announce visitors to residents and management, and assist the Concierge team.
• Handle master keys, ERT keys, pass keys and radios safely, log access to resident units, and assist with directions, gate access and deliveries.
• Send notices of upcoming tasks to owners and tenants, handle facsimiles, mail and packages, and handle luggage and deliveries promptly and safely.
• Attend shift briefings, respond to reasonable requests from the Director of Residences, and comply with health and safety rules, reporting defects, accidents and attending fire training twice a year.

Required profile

• Fluent English is mandatory; additional languages are beneficial.
• Comfortable with shift work, including nights.
• Excellent communication, organizational and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of hotel facilities and of restaurants, bars and attractions in Muscat.
• Confident, composed and able to motivate colleagues under pressure.
