Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety of guests, employees, and property assets by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting investigations. This full‑time position is based on‑site at a hospitality property in Muscat.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS.
• Assist guests and staff during emergencies, defuse disturbances and escort unwelcome persons.
• Prepare incident reports, shift summaries and loss‑prevention activity logs.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties while maintaining confidentiality.
• Report vehicle accidents, thefts and other security events using proper code responses.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb unaided.
• Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Use computers or point‑of‑sale systems to record and retrieve work‑related data.
• Meet any local licensing or registration requirements for security personnel.
