Maintenance Control Centre Engineer

About the role

SalamAir is looking for a Maintenance Control Centre Engineer in Muscat. The engineer oversees, coordinates and supports the technical operations of the airline's fleet in real time, monitoring aircraft health, managing defects and ensuring reliable technical dispatch while keeping safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Check aircraft history each day to prepare and control maintenance programmes and ensure timely completion of all maintenance activities.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and monitor ongoing tasks to resolve issues and comply with procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with Line Maintenance, Technical Services, OCC and other departments, and communicate with flight crews and maintenance teams on aircraft status.
• Maintain and update maintenance records and reports, and analyse maintenance trends to recommend improvements.
• Assist in developing maintenance schedules and provide technical support during AOG situations.
• Monitor deferred defects daily and follow up on spare parts so corrective actions are planned and started.
• Coordinate with Technical Planning and Production Planning on component requirements, with Technical Materials on turn-around times, and with the IOCC for aircraft-swapping authorisation.
• Follow up on unscheduled work from accidents, incidents, failures or inspection findings, assess the workload and prepare production forecasts.
• Prepare the agenda for the weekly operational review meeting and coordinate with QA on authorisations for outstation technical handling providers.

Required profile

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the aviation industry as certifying staff; at least 3 years in Maintenance Control Centre duties is preferred.
• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, is an added advantage.
• Level III type course for the A320 family with CFM LEAP-1A and CFM56 is an added advantage.
