Technical Services Engineer – Airworthiness

About the role

SalamAir is looking for a Technical Services Engineer – Airworthiness in Muscat. The engineer ensures the continuing airworthiness of the airline's aircraft fleet by managing regulatory compliance, aircraft certification, configuration control, airworthiness records and engineering approvals under Oman Civil Aviation Authority regulations, manufacturer requirements and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the continuing airworthiness status of assigned aircraft and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Keep accurate aircraft configuration records, including effectivity, modifications, repairs, operational limitations and approved configurations.
• Monitor maintenance status, life-limited parts, inspections, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), repairs and modifications.
• Prepare, coordinate and submit applications to the Oman CAA for certifications, continuing airworthiness approvals and compliance documents such as C of A, C of R, TRA, ELT coding, CAR-OPS, CAR-MEL, RVSM, EFB, EDTO/ETOPS, FDR, CVR, MFDR/MVDR, noise certificates and AMP approvals.
• Ensure STCs for airframe and cabin modifications are reflected in the AMP, MEL, IPC and other technical manuals.
• Review airworthiness checklists (registration, flight hours, ADs, modifications, weight and balance, life-limited components, maintenance program, WP, TCDS) and carry out physical surveys of aircraft compliance.
• Support aircraft deliveries, lease transitions, redeliveries, regulatory audits and authority inspections with airworthiness documentation.
• Improve airworthiness processes and take part in training and professional development; perform other tasks directed by the Manager Technical Services.

Required profile

• Timely preparation and completion of airworthiness documentation for delivery, lease transition and redelivery projects.
• Prompt identification and resolution of airworthiness discrepancies and regulatory issues.
