Middleware Engineer (IBM API Connect & Integration)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Middleware Engineer with strong expertise in IBM API Connect, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ and ActiveMQ. The role covers API and integration development, messaging, middleware support, security, performance monitoring, DevOps automation and production support.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage APIs using IBM API Connect and develop integration flows with IBM App Connect Enterprise.
- Configure, optimize and maintain IBM MQ and ActiveMQ, including development of messaging and integration flows.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, TLS and SAML, and ensure data security compliance.
- Monitor middleware runtimes, troubleshoot integration and production issues, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Automate build, deployment and configuration using tools like Jenkins, UrbanCode or Azure DevOps, and work with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Provide L1/L2 support for middleware and payment‑system environments, handling incidents and performing RCA.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant middleware and integration experience.
- Available to start within 15 days (immediate to 15‑day notice).
