Migration Specialist – Jira Cloud & Confluence

About the role

KalSoft is seeking a Migration Specialist to lead Jira Cloud and Confluence migrations for enterprise customers. The role involves planning, executing, and validating migrations while ensuring data integrity and a smooth user transition. You will work closely with technical and business teams to deliver reliable migration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Jira Cloud migrations using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ).
• Perform data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Utilize Jira REST APIs, CSV import/export, and automation scripts for migration tasks.
• Migrate Jira projects, workflows, configurations, users, and permissions.
• Support Confluence migrations, including spaces, pages, attachments, and permissions.
• Manage user migration and integrations with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Develop automation scripts in Python and PowerShell to streamline migration processes.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure successful migration delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Jira, Confluence, or enterprise migration projects.
• Hands‑on experience with JCMA, CMJ, and Jira migration methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
