About the role
The NDT Technician will perform ultrasonic inspections using the 3.1.3.2 technique for weld quality assessment in the oil and gas sector. The role involves equipment setup, calibration, reporting and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic inspection using the 3.1.3.2 technique.
- Set up and calibrate inspection equipment before, during and after each inspection.
- Read codes and acceptance criteria to evaluate weld quality and make accept/reject decisions.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports using the approved format.
- Maintain all inspection equipment throughout the work cycle.
- Adhere to company safety policies and environmental procedures.
Required profile
- PCN Level II – Ultrasonic testing 3.1.3.2.3 certification.
- Minimum 5 years solid experience in Phased Array inspection within the oil and gas industry.
