Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our client’s team in Muscat. You will be responsible for keeping the organization’s network up‑to‑date, secure and operating as intended.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine data‑centre activities in line with industry standards.
• Monitor and maintain IT hardware and network infrastructure.
• Implement, configure and monitor the corporate network, including firewalls, VLANs, VPNs and inter‑location access.
• Provision and de‑provision user accounts, managing authentication, authorization and password policies.
• Configure antivirus solutions and manage security devices such as IDS/IPS, Unified Threat Management and DLP systems.
• Update rule sets on firewalls, IDS/IPS and other security appliances.
• Manage virtual server connections and SAN storage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in networking or a related IT field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on networking experience.
• Mandatory certifications: ITIL Foundation, CCNA and CCNP.
• Strong communication skills in English.
